A key factor to succeed
in today's globally competitive marketplace is leadership. At
all levels, leadership skills need to be developed in order
to position your organization for tomorrow while delivering results
today.
For the last twelve years,
Synko and Associates has been working with our clients to develop
leadership programs that are practical, concise, apply to real
world day-to-day situations and, most importantly, deliver results.
Whether you want us to
design a complete leadership development curriculum or are simply
looking for proven programs to integrate into your existing curriculum,
we deliver the practical results you are seeking. We will customize
any of our programs to meet your specific needs.

What does it mean to compete globally? What if
I only do business in a small region? What does it mean to benchmark
or to have "best practices"? This course is designed
to help employees understand the need to become the best, the
critical role that everyone plays in becoming the best, how to
listen to internal and external suppliers and customers and link
processes, and why measurement is fundamental to continuous improvement.
Everyone in the organization is involved, whether it is measuring
the length of time from design to production, the turn-around
time from order to shipment or how many times does the phone ring
before it is answered.

"Effective
leadership training should provide participants with the day-to-day
skills that they can apply directly to their jobs.... |
|
|
|
Often delivered as the foundation for leadership training,
these six basic communication skills apply to anyone in your company
where clarity and complete understanding are critical to internal
and external customer service. "I didn't understand..."
impacts your vendors, your customers and your bottom-line. These
skills make a real difference.

Managed
meetings -- perhaps, that is a bit of an oxymoron, isn't it? More
often, these get-togethers should be called just that. Want to eliminate
waste and improve productivity in yet another way? Clients say,
that by using these straightforward meetings skills and processes
they are getting twice as much done in half-the-time.
|
|
...To
succeed and be internalized by participants, the training must be
interactive, engage the participant in activities that require thinking
and action, and are relevant/specific to their work environments...
|
|
 |
|
This program clearly defines and demonstrates the core leadership
competencies found in globally competitive leaders and companies.
Participants not only learn what is absolutely required of them
-- they also get direct feedback from others as to how they are
currently doing in each area measured. Connected. Real. And, most
importantly, the research clearly demonstrates how higher leadership
scores in the areas measured directly correspond with business
performance. Simple. Concise. Gets the job done in a non-theoretical
way.

Situational leadership takes the basic concepts of leadership
one-step further. This process demonstrates how one-size really
does not fit all and how true leaders adjust their style to the
person and his/her developmental level. Many leaders communicate
how they want to treat all employees the same and remain consistent.
Sounds good -- doesn't work -- here is why.
|
|
...Leadership
training is not a stand alone event, but one element of a greater
organizational strategy.... |
|
 |
|
Just Do It really doesn't work, does it? Are there productive
processes at both the individual and corporate level that make
for effective change? Yes. Does change come easy? No, but we can
make it easier and more productive.

This
two-part course covers the foundations of performance management.
Part One of this performance-improvement process begins with how to
construct meaningful goals and objectives and ends with a feedback
session that is conversational -- not confrontational.
Part Two of this process uses a wide-variety of tools and approaches
to diagnose and improve those situations that take a little extra
effort. Giving it some more thought becomes a series of specific
process steps -- and like all processes -- continuously improves.
|
|
...Skills
and behaviors being developed in training should be "embedded
" criteria in candidate recruiting & selection, employee
performance evaluations, determining compensation & incentives,
and the promotion and development of employees... |
|
 |
|
If workplace organization is absolutely critical to your daily
routines and to continuos improvement activities, then the 5S
process of: SORT - SET - SHINE - STANDARDIZE & SUSTAIN will
make a measurable difference in your waste reduction and productivity
improvement efforts. Like all our other programs, we show participants
how 5S connects to all your continuous improvement activities.
|
|
Over the years, we have defined this course in a variety of
ways -- often using components of the other programs listed above
and then adding modules to meet the unique developmental needs
of each situation. Having been there and done that -- our instructors
are credible with your employees who confront real-world situations
on a daily basis.
|
|
...They
should also be embedded in the "language" of all corporate
communications."
